Ex-Rutgers Athlete Arrested for Allegedly Murdering a Woman at Tijuana Strip Club

A 26-year-old former college basketball player, Logan Kelley, was arrested in Mexico for allegedly murdering a woman inside a Tijuana strip club Wednesday night.
The victim was 19-year-old Isis Montoya, who was reportedly a sex worker at Adelita s Bar in Tijuana s infamous Zona Norte. According to officials, surveillance footage showed a man matching Kelley s physical description sneak up behind Montoya and slice her neck with a folding knife before trying to flee the scene. Montoya was declared dead at the scene.
Kelley was allegedly detained at the scene by security guards and held until police arrived.

Several local students were recently recognized for their academic success this past semester at both Jacksonville State University and the University of Montevallo.
Six Trussville scholars were included on Montevallo’s President’s List for the 2020 fall semester. The honor was given to full-time students who achieved at least at 3.8 grade point average.
Those Trussville recipients include Taylor Lipford, Abigail O’Neal, Emilly Williams, Logan McCracken, Aphinee Burns and Kourtney Clay.
At JSU, multiple local undergraduates made the Honor’s List for their outstanding academic performance last fall. Local honorees include:
