The move expands LHC Group s footprint in five states, adding 16 hospice agencies in Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma and South Carolina. In Louisiana, Heart of Hospice operates in Lafayette, Baton Rouge, Franklin, Alexandria, New Orleans, Monroe, Covington, Shreveport, Lake Charles and Thibodaux. Heart of Hospice s Lafayette is located in The Daily Advertiser s office building. LHC Group s announcement did not include information about the sale price, though it said the purchase would add about $92.5 million in revenue each year. In an email, a spokesperson for LHC Group said the company would not be making any further comment about the acquisition until it closes, which is expected to be in the third quarter of 2021.
