Vine Grove man killed in crash

A Vine Grove man was killed Friday morning after a two-car collision that occurred on Rineyville Road. Roy Lee Lynn, 50, was dead at the scene, according to Hardin County Sheriff’s Deputy Travis Cook, accident reconstructionist for the crash. The wreck occurred near the 9800 block of Rineyville Road at approximately 8:30 a.m. Friday. Cook said Lynn was heading westbound in a Chevrolet Tahoe and crossed the center line, while Kasia Heikes of Corydon, Indiana, was heading eastbound in a Dodge Durango, which led to a nearly head-on collision. Heikes was airlifted to the University of Louisville Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. There were no passengers in either vehicle involved, Cook said.
