Kaylan Dowdie
A second woman charged in relation to the brutal beating of 17-year-old Kaylan Dowdie along Barbican Road in St Andrew last November, has been granted bail.
Yolande Vassell, a 45-year-old old resident of Barbican Road, was offered bail in the sum of $350,000 when she appeared in the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court on Wednesday.
On January 6, another accused, Cassian Lewis, a 28-year-old resident also of Barbican Road, was granted bail.
Meanwhile, the other three women, who along with Vassell and Lewis were charged with wounding with intent and unlawful wounding, were remanded into police custody.
They are 28-year-old Shakeema McLeod, otherwise called ‘Keema’; 33-year-old Nadine Aldridge; and 22-year-old Timone Williams, otherwise called ‘Rusty , all of Barbican Road, St Andrew.
