Airport redo: Cleveland Hopkins International Airport is planning for a $2 billion rebuilt terminal that is half new and half old. Susan Glaser reports construction won’t begin for years and financing has yet to be figured out, but the idea is to convert the airport from its one-time hub focus to concentrate on local travelers. Among its many features: larger, more light-filled ticketing, concourse and gate areas; a more centrally located customs facility; expanded security screening areas; and an on-site rental-car facility.
Muslim students protest Parma schools for unfair treatment on religious holidays

A small group of high school students gathered in Parma on Friday to protest against Muslim and other non-Christian students not getting the same treatment for academic relief on holidays.

CLEVELAND, Ohio A small group of Valley Forge High School students marched down Longwood Avenue in Parma on Friday to demonstrate for Muslim and other non-Christian students who they say do not get academic relief on holidays.
“I never realized that it was an issue until I kind of realized it,” said junior Zaina Al-Taher.
Educators, parents, community groups and policy experts form All In For Ohio Kids
Today, All In For Ohio Kids officially kicked off its campaign to fully and fairly fund Ohio’s public schools with a virtual press conference.
The coalition, made up of the Ohio Organizing Collaborative (OOC), Ohio Federation of Teachers (OFT), Policy Matters Ohio and the Ohio Education Association (OEA) is calling on state lawmakers to pass the Fair School Funding Plan (FSFP), which the Ohio House of Representatives included in their version of the 2022-23 state budget passed earlier this month. It’s now in the hands of the Ohio Senate.
