Gov. Tom Wolf visited Lancaster County for the second time in less than a week on Tuesday, this time to promote his plan for reforming Pennsylvaniaâs charter school law, which Wolf called âthe worst in the nation.â
Wolf wants to create âperformance standardsâ for charters, put a moratorium on creating new cyber charters, create a ceiling for cyber charter enrollment at low-performing schools, set âequitableâ tuition rates and require charters to be subject to the Right to Know law and other transparency requirements.Â
These changes would save $395 million that could be redirected to the stateâs public education system, Wolf said.
