KUALA LUMPUR, May 8 Any misunderstandings or misgivings between the police force and the home minister of the day should be discussed internally, Tan Sri Syed Hamid Albar told

In an interview with the news portal, the former home minister said this is how the professional image of the police force and the individuals involved is maintained.
PETALING JAYA: A Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) should be set up to probe allegations by former inspector-general of police Tan Sri Abdul Hamid Bador and former attorney general Tan Sri Tommy Thomas, said Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.
The Umno president said he will instruct the party s ministers to push for the RCI because the allegations involve abuse of power and corruption in government institutions. The revelations by the two former leaders of vital government organisations are very serious, especially when it involves political interference and corruption in institutions that are supposed to defend the Constitution, rule of law, and national security.

KUALA LUMPUR, May 6 The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) has shortlisted candidates to fill the vacancy for the post of Deputy Inspector General of Police, said Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Datuk Seri Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani.
He said that the police had submitted the list of names to the Police Force Commission (SPP) for consideration.

KOTA KINABALU, May 5 At least two Opposition politicians here have asked the police to investigate recent revelations made by outgoing inspector-general of police Tan Sri Abdul Hamid Bador that a federal politician may be behind an attempted coup that triggered the recent state elections.
