KUALA LUMPUR: Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah visited the Kuala Lumpur Health Clinic, which is both a vaccine storage centre and vaccination centre.
The King was welcomed by Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Adham Baba, Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah and with Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya Federal Territories Health director Datuk Dr P. Param Jeeth Singh.
Sultan Abdullah was briefed on the clinic’s operation by family medicine specialist and head Dr Baizury Bashah.
The King then visited the vaccine storage room which housed the ultra-low-temperature freezer.

Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said both cases were in Sabah and both the deceased were Malaysian citizens. The Health Ministry extends its condolences to all their family members, said Dr Noor Hisham in his daily Covid-19 press statement.
According to the statement, one of the victims is a 75-year-old man with a history of diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia and heart disease.
The other victim is a 58-year-old woman with high blood pressure.
Both cases were at the Duchess of Kent Hospital in Sandakan.
Dr Noor Hisham said there are currently 154 Covid-19 patients being treated at intensive care units, with 64 of them requiring ventilator support.
PUTRAJAYA: Three factory clusters in Selangor are among the contributors to the state s slight increase in cases on Wednesday (March 17).
Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said one of the outbreaks, named the Subang Dua cluster, had 153 confirmed cases since March 16. The positive cases in this cluster were uncovered from a targeted screening exercise conducted on workers of a factory located at Jalan Subang 2 in Taman Perindustrian Subang. So far, 602 individuals have been tested and 153 are confirmed as Covid-19 positive, said Dr Noor Hisham in his daily Covid-19 press statement.
The Jalan Lada Sulah cluster in Shah Alam and the Meranti Jaya cluster in Puchong were also detected from targeted screening conducted on factory workers.

PUTRAJAYA: Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yasin has received his second dose of Covid-19 vaccine at the Putrajaya Health Clinic in Precinct 18 here, becoming the first person in Malaysia to complete the dosage for immunisation.
The prime minister was administered the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine today, 21 days after he had received his first dose on Feb 24 to roll out the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme.
Muhyiddin arrived at the clinic at about 3pm and scanned his MySejahtera code, before he was taken to the vaccination room for registration and to receive his vaccine shot.

The prime minister, whose vaccination process was aired live on national television, pleaded to the Malaysian public to register for the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme as soon as possible.
