New recoveries also continued to outnumber new cases, with 1,973 more patients discharged yesterday.
This means that active Covid-19 cases have gone down even lower to 15,511.
It is a marked improvement from a month ago, when active cases were as high as 52,000 at one point.
The Health Ministry’s statistics also showed that daily cases have been on a downtrend for the fifth consecutive day, starting from March 11 which recorded 1,647 infections.
Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said Selangor still reported the highest number of new cases at 379, which constituted 31.4% of the country’s cases.
