Dr Noor Hisham had shared a Facebook post by a Dr Nur Marini Zainal, who had detailed her experience dealing with a patient who had hidden a history of illness when screened before a CT scan appointment. “A patient came to the hospital and was screened at the department entrance before undergoing a CT scan. Temperature was normal. The patient admitted to being healthy and was allowed to enter.

1,581 new cases push Malaysia past 100,000 mark

PETALING JAYA: Malaysia has crossed the 100,000 mark with 1,581 new Covid-19 infections. The new cases reported over the past 24 hours pushed the country’s tally to 100,318. Of the total, two were imported while the rest were local transmissions. Currently, the number of people with active Covid-19 infections stood at 18,773. Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah urged the people to be more vigilant and help to reduce the spread of Covid-19 infections following the increase in numbers. KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 24 Malaysia has breached 100,000 cumulative Covid-19 cases on Christmas Eve, with a total of 1,581 new cases recorded today. Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said Malaysia’s cumulative cases now stands at 100,318 cases. Today’s figure meant that the number of active cases nationwide is currently at 18,773 while 102 patients have been admitted into intensive care wards, 45 of whom need breathing assistance.

15-year-old girl succumbs to Covid-19

KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama): A 15-year-old Malaysian girl was reported to have died in Sabah of COVID-19 on Thursday (Dec 24). Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said the teen died at the Lahad Datu Hospital but did not give details on the victim’s health background.
