Five new covid cases were reported at the Old Rochester Regional School District in press releases on Dec. 30, bringing the district tally to 75.
Three cases from ORRHS, one from Old Hammondtown School and one from Rochester Memorial School were reported.
All schools will continue operations as normal following the cases.
The positive individuals were last in school on Dec. 22, 23, and 26 in the high school cases. The positive individuals from Old Hammondtown and Rochester Memorial were last in school on Dec. 23.

MATTAPOISETT The Old Rochester Regional School District announced two new covid cases at the Old Rochester Regional High School and Junior High on Dec. 29.
Contact tracing for the cases is ongoing. Close contacts will be notified by their respective Boards of Health and are expected to quarantine.
The positive individuals were last in the school building on Dec. 18 in the High School case and Dec. 17 in the Junior High case. No further information is known about the individuals.
All schools will continue operating as normal following the cases.
These are the 69th and 70th cases in the district since its Sept. reopening.

MATTAPOISETT - Superintendent Michael S. Nelson, Mattapoisett Town Administrator Michael C. Lorenco and Mattapoisett Board of Health Chair Carmelo Nicolosi report that the Old Rochester Regional School District was informed of two positive cases of COVID-19 at the Old Rochester Regional School District (one at the Junior High School and one at the Senior High School) in Mattapoisett on Dec. 28.
The individuals are associated with the Old Rochester Regional Junior and Senior High Schools and have tested positive for the virus and are self-isolating in accordance with Massachusetts Department of Public Health and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention protocol. These individuals have not been in the school buildings since Dec. 18 (positive case at the ORR High School) and Dec. 17 (positive case at the ORR Junior High School).
