Three Passavant Area Hospital employees are being honored by the Illinois National Guard.
Jessica Ford, Karoline Myers, and Shannon Watson were presented with the Patriot Award from the Employer Support division of the National Guard and Reserve in October.
According to an announcement by Passavant today, the Patriot Award is given to a supervisor or manager who makes a special effort to support a working National Guard member including, flexible scheduling, time off before and after deployment, care for families, and, if necessary, leaves of absence.

The Passavant Area Hospital Board of Directors has two new members.
The Passavant Area Hospital Board of Governors recently elected Chris Barrett and Polly Pulley to serve four-year terms on the Board of Directors.
Barrett is division president and senior lender at Petefish, Skiles & Co. Bank in Virginia, Illinois. A native of Chandlerville, he earned a bachelor’s degree in business from Western Illinois University in Macomb in 2007. He is a graduate of the Community Bankers School in Bloomington and the Graduate School of Banking in Madison, Wisconsin. Prior to joining Petefish, Skiles & Co. Bank in 2008, Barrett worked for First Bankers Trust Co. in Macomb and Quincy.

Chris Barrett and Polly Pulley have been elected by the Passavant Area Hospital Board of Governors to serve four-year terms on the hospital’s board of directors.
Barrett is division president and senior lender at Petefish, Skiles & Co. Bank in Virginia. He and his wife, Trista, live in Virginia and have two children, Chase and Jenelle. Barrett serves as treasurer for the city of Virginia.
Pulley is pastor of Spirit of Faith Church in Jacksonville and serves as director of Spirit of Faith Soup Kitchen. The Chicago native came to Jacksonville in 1993 and has a son and four grandchildren.

Savana Long, a nursing student in her senior year at Illinois College recieves her first dose of COVID vaccine from Keri Jackson with the Morgan County Health Departemnt at a distribution held by Morgan County Health Officials Tuesday.
Distribution of the COVID vaccine continued in Morgan County this week.
Over 200 individuals were registered to receive their first dose on Tuesday in Jacksonville during a restricted distribution event conducted by the Morgan County Health Department in conjunction with the Jacksonville Fire Department and Jacksonville Morgan County Office of Emergency Management.
Vaccinations were administered to front line healthcare workers who fall within the Illinois Department of Public Health’s 1a allocation group including health care workers in hospitals, medial outpatient facilities, skilled nursing and assisted living facilities, among many others.
