IJT activists reject licencing exam

PESHAWAR: Islami Jamiat-i-Talaba (IJT) has rejected the National Licencing Examination (NLE) from the Pakistan Medical Commission and asked the government to stop exploitation of students.
Speaking at a news conference at Peshawar Press Club on Wednesday, IJT nazim Kashif Hasanzai said that they would draw future line of action in the forthcoming meeting of the Peshawar Medical Conference if their demands were not accepted.
The IJT office-bearers said they would not accept the Pakistan Medical Commission exam (NLE), saying that the medical students were facing acute problems since the dissolution of PMDC and creation of PMC.

PMC holds seminars on new admission regulations

Islamabad : The Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC) conducted two seminars for public and private medical and dental colleges on its Medical and Dental Undergraduate Education (Admission, Curriculum and Conduct) Regulations, 2021. They were conducted by Dr. Syed Moin Ali, Member Education and Executive Member of the PMC National Medical Authority (NMA), along with Nadia Nabi, Member Legal of the NMA. Dr. Anis Rahman, member (Dental), National Medical and Dental Council, PMC, shared the PMC’s vision with the audience.
In the public colleges seminar, 46 educational institutions were in attendance, whereas the other was attended by 39 private colleges.
