The Pak foreign minister also cautioned against the role of spoilers within and outside Afghanistan, who did not wish to see the return of peace in Afghanistan and the region.

Pakistan s Foreign Office has reacted angrily to a U.S. State Department statement asking the country to do more to hold an extremist leader accountable.
Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi, leader of the banned Lashkar-e Taiba (LeT), was arrested in the eastern city of Lahore on charges of terror financing on January 2.
An anti-terrorism court sentenced him to five years in prison and a fine of 300,000 rupees ($1,866) on January 8.
Lakhvi was a prominent figure in the Jamaat-ud Dawa (JuD) charity, which is believed to be a front for LeT, the group blamed by the United States and India for a siege in Mumbai in 2008 in which at least 166 people were killed.
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Thursday urged South Korea and Iran to exercise restraint amid fears that a maritime dispute between the two countries could escalate. Seoul has moved military forces close to the Strait of Hormuz after Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps seized a South Korean-flagged oil tanker on Monday. The Hankuk Chemi, with 20 crew members on board, was traveling from Saudi Arabia to the UAE when it was intercepted and taken to the port of Bandar Abbas. While officials in Seoul said they are pursuing a diplomatic solution to the crisis, the South Korean navy’s destroyer, Choi Young, arrived in the area on Tuesday.
Pakistan and India Share Lists of Nuclear & Strategic Facilities With Each Other
With the turn of the year, Pakistan and India have shared the lists of their nuclear installations and strategic facilities as part of an agreement that limits the two adversaries from attacking each other’s atomic facilities during a war.
Earlier today, Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs provided the list of the country’s sensitive installations and facilities to the Indian High Commission in Islamabad.

London, Jan 1 : Pakistan s National Accountability Bureau (NAB), an institution accused and blamed by political leadership for taking political maneuvering of the government and using it to nab top leaders of major political parties on charges of money laundering, assets beyond means and corruption worth billion of dollars, has been penalised for playing the delaying tactics in submitting the penalty amount of at least $21 million to the country in the infamous Broadsheet LLC case.
A high court in London has ordered debiting at least $28.7 million from the accounts of the Pakistan High Commission in London over non-payment of the penalty by Pakistan s National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to the foreign assets recovery firm Boardsheet LLC.
