AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - A man was arrested for tampering evidence in a joint operation that was put out to bait nighttime burglars in the Hillside Terrace neighborhood.
On Tuesday around 4:00 a.m., March 9, PABTU investigators and Amarillo police put out bait targeting nighttime burglars in the Hillside Terrace neighborhood.
The bait was taken by an alley prowler.
The suspect was then followed back to his home near S Osage, where a search warrant was obtained and executed.

AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - Amarillo police arrested two people for multiple charges after stopping them in a parking lot near I-40 West overnight.
Around 12:50 a.m., an officer was on patrol in the 6800 block of I-40 West when they saw two men walking suspiciously through the rows of vehicles in a parking lot.

Officials with the Amarillo Police Department released information about an early Tuesday morning incident where two were arrested after police made an early morning stop.
According to a news release, an officer with the department was on patrol in the 6800 block of I-40 west where the officer observed two males walking suspiciously through the rows of vehicles in a parking lot.
The suspects were later identified as 19-year-old Casey Howard and 28-year-old Colton Jones. Howard was found to have a warrant for evading arrest with a previous conviction through Randall County and was also in possession of drug paraphernalia. While he initially gave a fictitious name, Jones was in possession of identification which had been reported stolen earlier this month as well as stolen identification from an unreported auto burglary.
