THE French army is training with robot dogs as a controversial new defence report says soldiers should be allowed to use Terminator-style killer droids.
Named Spot, the robotic canine has been used in battle exercises by Frances armed forces after first being deployed by cops in New York City earlier this year.

Developed by US firm Boston Dynamics , it is being used by cadets at the Saint-Cyr military college to help during simulated street fighting, reports The Times.
According to the company, Spot is an agile mobile robot that navigates terrain with unprecedented mobility .

The Danish MoD awarded a CHF 46 million ($52 million) contract to GDELS-Mowag to deliver 57 Eagles V vehicles. This is the second order under the Armoured Patrol Vehicle (APV) framework agreement signed in 2017. Deliveries will begin by the end of 2021 and will be completed in 2022.
The Danish MoD awarded a CHF 46 million ($52 million) contract to General Dynamics European Land Systems-Mowag (GDELS-Mowag) to deliver 57 Eagle V vehicles (56 in the patrol version and the first prototype of the reconnaissance open variant).
Deliveries will begin by the end of 2021 and will be completed in 2022. Giuseppe Chillari, GDELS Vice President for Wheeled Vehicles and Managing Director of GDELS-Mowag claimed that Denmark is the first nation to order the open top version of Eagle 4x4 vehicle.

The framework agreement enables NATO countries and partners to purchase Avon’s respiratory protection system, based around FM50, full suite of filters, MP-PAPR (Powered Air Purifying Respirator), ST53 (Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus) and accessories.
The FM50 is designed to protect troops in the most demanding of environments and provides operational flexibility required by NATO allies and partners forces.
