3 Weeks into Dryuary
With apologies to Justin Moore, singer of “That’s Why We Drink”, this is Dry January, or “Dryuary” the month that many many people decide they need to be drinking less. By this far into January, sorry Dryuary, if you’re still going strong on a New Year’s Resolution, good for you. Three weeks is nothing to sneeze at. Especially with what we had to endure with all that 2020 threw at us. Alcohol shouldn’t be used as a coping mechanism, but I’m not here to judge.
Recent survey done by Alcohol Rehab found that over one third of Mainers plan on reducing the amount of alcohol they drink, not just in January but for the entire year. Except during Rowdy Yates Show on Saturday nights on Q106.5. Kidding, I’m kidding. Except if the lockdown continues too deeply into the year.
SnoCross Championships Coming to Deadwood and Sioux Falls
The SnoCross Nationals are coming to South Dakota. And not just Deadwood, but Sioux Falls has just secured the most exciting weekend you ll see this winter.
The greatest show on snow returns to Deadwood, SD., January 29-30, 2021 as the ISOC Amsoil Championship Snocross Series hits the Black Hills for the ninth annual Deadwood Snocross Showdown.
According to Deadwood s website, more than 150 of the top professional Snocross racers will descend on the historic town’s Deadwood Event Center (Days of ’76 Rodeo Grounds) for a weekend of high-flying, high-speed, high-octane snowmobile racing. Pros like Logan Christian, Robbie Malinoski, Jennifer Pare, and Tim Tremblay are on the roster.

I had tickets to 8 freaking concerts in 2020! They’ve ALL either been postponed or canceled. How many of YOUR favorite bands were YOU going to see in 2020?
I don’t know about you, but at a concert, my routine, after the venue usher would either scan or rip away their part of my ticket, I always stuffed the STUB in the right rear pocket of my jeans, then I’d scurry off to grab a beer, then find my seat. Amazingly, most of those ticket stubs made it home with me! I’d throw them in my underwear drawer but would rarely look at them again.
