Article content VICTORIA When the legislature resumed Monday after a one-week break, the New Democrats were hit with questions about the embarrassing leak that showed that they hadn’t been living up to their promise of transparency on COVID-19 data. Two B.C. Centre for Disease Control (BCCDC) reports were leaked to Postmedia News last week. They were four times as lengthy and contained much more detail than the BCCDC’s regular disclosures to the public. Included was data that Postmedia, other news organizations and researchers had been seeking for weeks, and sometimes for months. We apologize, but this video has failed to load.

Posted: May 10, 2021 B.C.’s COVID-19 updates for May 10 Dr. Bonnie Henry, B.C.’s provincial health officer, and Adrian Dix, Minister of Health, today (May 10) issued the following joint statement regarding updates on the COVID-19 response in British Columbia. Dr. Bonnie Henry Today, we are reporting on three periods. From May 7 to May 8, we had 596 new cases. From May 8 to May 9, we had 605 new cases and in the last 24 hours, we had a further 558 new cases. This results in 1,759 new cases over the period, for a total of 136,100 cases in British Columbia. There are 6,140 active cases of COVID-19 in the province. A further 128,139 people who tested positive have recovered.
