Updated: 12:58 PM PDT May 14, 2021 Anne Newman Executive Producer A woman hoarding gas caught on fire following a car accident Thursday night in Pickens County, South Carolina, according to Chief Deputy Chad Brooks with the Pickens County Sheriff s Office. A deputy in a marked patrol unit saw a Pontiac G6 traveling on Jameson Road in Pickens and determined that the vehicle was displaying a South Carolina license plate that had been reported stolen, Brooks said.According to Brooks, as the vehicle approached the intersection of Jameson Road and Wolf Creek Road, the deputy activated his vehicle’s emergency lights in an attempt to conduct a traffic stop. The driver of the Pontiac turned left onto Wolf Creek Road and accelerated the vehicle in an attempt to elude law enforcement. View Comments A man found dead in his home in Easley on Monday has been identified as Heyward “Trey” Delno Price III, according to Pickens County Coroner Kandy Kelley. His death is being investigated as a homicide, according to the Pickens County Sheriff’s and Coroner’s Office. Price was found dead in his home at 207 Shade Tree Circle. In a press release, Kelley said Price died of a gunshot wound. The coroner s office will not be releasing any more information on the victim due to the current investigation into his death. There were no weapons found at the scene.

Chief Deputy Chad Brooks said Heyward “Trey” Delno Price III was found dead at his home on Shade Tree Circle. The death is being investigated as a homicide. The coroner said Price died of a gunshot wound. Brooks said no weapon was found at the scene. No one has been arrested in the case.
