One person was struck and killed while crossing the street, according to law enforcement.

PINELLAS PARK, Fla. Pinellas Park police say a person was killed early Friday morning when they were hit by a car while crossing the street.
The crash happened around 12:25 a.m. in the 6900 block of 66th Street in Pinellas Park, according to the report.
Officers say the person was outside of a crosswalk when they were hit by Carly Christopher, 23, driving a 2016 Nissan Sentra north on 66 street in the middle lane. The person was seriously injured and transported to a local hospital where they later died, according to police.

A St. Petersburg Police officer was arrested and fired Wednesday after authorities said he tried to use a Texas womanâs credit card information to make hundreds of dollars in purchases from Walmart.
Due to his probationary status, authorities say he was terminated without an internal investigation or board hearing.

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. A probationary officer with the St. Petersburg Police Department was arrested by another agency Wednesday night and has been fired.
Jonathan Cain was taken into custody by the Pinellas Park Police Department after being accused of using a Texas woman s personal information to charge an online order to her credit card.
Earlier this week, Pinellas Park officials notified St. Pete officers that Cain was under investigation. At that time, the 25-year-old was placed on unpaid administrative leave.

PINELLAS PARK, Fla. â Pinellas Park Police are searching for the driver they say hit and killed a father of three in December.
Police say Jason Prine, 45, was riding his motorcycle just after midnight on 62nd Avenue North when the driver of a Chevy S-10 pick-up truck hit him at 55th Street.
âItâs an emptiness that you canât explain,â said the victimâs mother, Joan Craig. âHe didnât deserve it.â
On Friday night, Prineâs family gathered at the crash site to share a few memories and make a public plea for the information needed to help police make an arrest.
