PETALING JAYA: The Prime Minister has remained in contact with his ministers about work while he is in hospital receiving treatment for an infection, says the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).
It said Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin was being treated for an infection to his digestive system, adding that there was no recurring tumour.
It also said that he was being administered intravenous antibiotics for the infection and would be discharged from hospital in a few days.
“The Prime Minister was warded on June 30 and is still receiving treatment for an infection to his digestive system.
“After an intensive health check-up, there is no proof that there is a recurrence of his old tumour.

PETALING JAYA: MPs from ruling parties welcome the proposal of a special sitting of Dewan Rakyat while Opposition MPs want more than just a special one-day meet.
Senior Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof said he looked forward to be in Dewan Rakyat when the Parliament reconvened.
“I am ready for the day,” said the Petra Jaya MP when contacted.
He was commenting on the statement jointly issued by Dewan Rakyat Speaker Datuk Azhar Azizan Harun and Senate President Tan Sri Dr Rais Yatim yesterday.
Federal Territories Minister Tan Sri Annuar Musa said he welcomed the idea of a special sitting as the procedures were not as complex as during usual meetings.
