We all remember the good old days in high school especially the rivalries that occurred. Now some students participated and some didn t when it came to those rival shenanigans. Being a former Coronado High School T-Bird, I heard of all sorts of stories involving my high school and our rival.

Everyone knows Coronado High School s rival is Franklin High School. Once Franklin High School came around they tried declaring their school was the pride of the Westside. Now, of course, that ticked off a lot of Coronado students and lead to rival tactics.

FRANKLIN, Va. A high school senior in Franklin is rolling in college admissions and scholarship funds as he prepares to graduate.
Samuel Lyons, a senior at Franklin High School, was offered more than $1.6 million in scholarship money and was admitted to 40 colleges! And that s just as of May 7. The 18-year-old could get more college acceptances and money, according to one guidance counselor.
“Sam Lyons has been accepted into 40 colleges with a total amount of scholarships awarded of $1.6 million. He is the first student since I have been at FHS to have been accepted into this many colleges and earned this huge amount of scholarship money by himself,” Guidance Counselor Ale Massenb

Samuel Lyons, a senior at Franklin High School, was offered more than $1.6 million in scholarship money and was admitted to 40 colleges! And that’s just as of May 7. The 18-year-old could get more college acceptances and money, according to one guidance counselor.
“Sam Lyons has been accepted into 40 colleges with a total amount of scholarships awarded of $1.6 million. Milwaukie educator David Kays announces run against the board member who was arrested on prostitution charges.
A Milwaukie educator has announced a write-in campaign for the Clackamas Community College board of directors against unopposed incumbent Dave Hunt, who recently was arrested on prostitution charges.
The election is May 18.
David Kays, a 33-year educator, is a music instructor who has taught at Lincoln High School in Portland since 2015. Before that, he taught in the Gladstone School District for 15 years. I was filling out my own ballot Friday night and realized that I couldn t vote for the incumbent, given his current legal issues, Kays said. My family had a quick discussion and agreed to write me in. By the next morning, we agreed other people might like an alternative, too, and I would be happy to serve the CCC community for a four-year term. Now I m asking for others to write me in.
