Bradford man charged with possession of an offensive weapon A MAN has been charged with possession of an offensive weapon after a stop search over the weekend. Officers were patrolling the Great Horton area yesterday (March 14) when a car sped through a set of traffic lights, said police.  A spokesperson for the Bradford South Neighbourhood Policing Team added: Officers followed the car onto Ransdale Road and asked them to pull over. Following a search of the car, a baton torch was discovered and seized. A 28-year-old man was arrested at the scene and taken into custody. Abdul Haleem, 28, of Hoxton Street, Bradford, has now been charged with possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.

Benjamin Peter Marshall, 44, of New Street, Southowram, Halifax, was sentenced at Bradford Magistrates’ Court on 19 January. He pleaded guilty to three charges; causing unnecessary suffering to a donkey called Jemimah between 5 September and 5 November 2019, failing to meet the needs of Jemimah, and failing to meet the needs of a donkey called Snowball on or before 5 November 2019. A spokesman for the RSPCA said Marshall had previously failed to comply with advice from the RSPCA and the Donkey Sanctuary. A joint investigation was launched by the charities after they found the basic welfare needs of Jemimah and Snowball were not being met and they needed urgent veterinary and farrier treatment.

Arrests made in Bradford over the supply of Class A drugs, kidnap and false imprisonment

THREE Bradford men were arrested yesterday as part of an ongoing investigation into the supply of Class A drugs from Bradford to other parts of the UK between May and November 2020. The men, aged 19, 22 and 27, were arrested yesterday morning during a series of warrants executed by Bradford’s Precision Organised Crime Team, supported by officers from Neigbourhood Policing Teams. The trio were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply Class A drugs and conspiracy to facilitate the travel of another with view to exploitation. A quantity of Class A drugs were seized during the operation, as was around £10,000 in cash.

He is charged with five offences contrary to the Firearms Act 1968 relating to the possession of an electric stun gun disguised as a torch, possession of a firearm without a certificate, namely a Berloque pistol, and three offences of possessing varying types of ammunition without an appropriate certificate. He is due to appear before Bradford Magistrates Court today.
