Future Focus caters for people aged 14 to 35 from across Bradford, Airedale, Wharfedale and Craven. A team from Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust is working with young people who may be more vulnerable to developing mental health difficulties. Dr Razia Akhtar, Future Focus service manager and senior clinical psychologist at the care trust, said: “The service aims to engage with people who need support early. “We can offer help such as cognitive behaviour therapy as well as support for the family. We can also offer social support to people if they need help with things like benefits, housing-related issues, employment or education support.
FIVE further Covid-19-related hospital deaths have been reported in the Bradford district today. According to the latest NHS England figures, Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust reported two deaths and Airedale NHS Foundation Trust reported three further deaths. At Bradford, one death was reported on February 24 and another death on the following day. At Airedale, One death was reported on each of the following days; February 1, January 31 and January 30. The total death toll at hospitals in the Bradford district now stands at 820 - 566 at BRI, 252 at Airedale and two at Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust. Nationally, a further 307 people, who tested positive for the Coronavirus (Covid-19) have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 82,717.
A RECORD number of ‘healthcare heroes’ have been nominated for accolades in an annual awards scheme.
