ONE further Covid-19-related hospital deaths has been reported in the Bradford district today, according to the latest NHS figures. Airedale NHS Foundation Trust reported one death, on Tuesday, February 2, while Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust did not report any deaths. It means that the total number of hospital deaths in the district, according to NHS England figures, now stands at 766 - 532 at Bradford Teaching Hospitals, 232 at Airedale and two at Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust. Elsewhere in West Yorkshire, Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust reported two deaths and Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust reported eight deaths. Nationally, a further 707 people, who tested positive for the Coronavirus (Covid-19) have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 73,619.
THE Jacob s Well vaccination centre in Bradford is open today despite the snowy weather. The site, located in the Jacob s Well car park in the city centre, opened its doors yesterday. People who have booked an appointment are being advised to only travel if they feel safe to do so and reschedule their vaccine through the national booking system. A spokesperson for Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust said: “Jacob’s Well NHS COVID-19 Vaccination Centre is open today and delivering vaccines to those who have a booked appointment. However, we are advising those people who have booked a vaccination today to only travel if they feel safe and confident in doing so. If there is any doubt, they should reschedule their appointment through the national booking service for another time.
