Bernat was arrested Thursday by the Regional Crime Suppression Unit on a felony fugitive warrant.
He faces a charge of lewd and lascivious acts with a child under 14 for actions that allegedly took place in South Lake Tahoe, according to the sheriff s office.
Officials say Bernat is known to use the aliases Ryan or Rayan Samones, Ryan Bernat and Mykee Daws.
Bernat has lived his entire adult life in Washoe County, and detectives are seeking information from anyone who may have been victimized by him previously, the sheriff s office wrote in a press statement Saturday.
Authorities say the investigation is ongoing.

INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. Authorities last week arrested a suspect in connection with multiple car burglaries in Incline Village.
Washoe County Sheriff’s Office detectives together with the Regional Crime Suppression Unit, arrested Reno woman Brandy Sosa, 28, on five felony charges stemming from several vehicle burglaries in December and early January, said a press release.
Deputies had taken several reports over the past month and canvassed neighborhoods and gathered information through interviews and surveillance videos.
Detective worked together with the crime unit using information from deputies and advanced the case and evidence gathering which pointed to Sosa, officials said.

A 28-year-old Reno woman has been arrested on five felony charges stemming from multiple vehicle burglary cases in Incline Village.
Detectives with the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office and the Regional Crime Suppression Unit arrested Brandy Sosa on Tuesday. Over the past several weeks, patrol deputies took several vehicle burglary cases. Their investigation led them through neighborhoods where they garnered intelligence through interviews and obtaining surveillance videos.
Washoe County Sheriff’s Office detectives worked in conjunction with the Regional Crime Suppression Unit with the intelligence obtained by deputies, and furthered the case and evidence gathering which they say pointed to Sosa.
