Hyundai Motorsport has confirmed its four-car line-up for the inaugural PURE ETCR season, with Augusto Farfus, Jean-Karl Vernay, Tom Chilton and John Filippi getting behind the wheel of the Hyundai Veloster N ETCR.
“Racing in PURE ETCR is the natural next step for the project, and in the four drivers we have for the season ahead I believe we have a line-up in which everyone is capable of racing for victory on every weekend,” said Hyundai Motorsport team principal Andrea Adamo.
“So far we have risen to, and beaten, every challenge that has presented itself in the process of building and developing the car. Competition is just the latest of these. I look forward to the start of the racing season and seeing our four drivers in action.”

Defending champion Ash Sutton has welcomed the chance to “tinker away” with his title-winning Infiniti Q50 as preparations continue for the start of the new British Touring Car Championship season.
The Laser Tools Racing driver secured his second title at the wheel of the car last season, despite the team being able to conduct only limited testing across the year as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Already this season, the team has been able to complete a number of days of running as it seeks to strengthen the package going into the season opener at Thruxton, with Sutton admitting that there had been improvements to make.

Dan Rowbottom says there can be “no excuses” this season when he returns for a second year in the British Touring Car Championship with Team Dynamics.
Rowbottom joined the grid back in 2019 with Ciceley Motorsport and was due to return with the Mercedes team last year before the COVID-19 pandemic saw him withdraw from the drive.
After a year on the sidelines, Rowbottom returns with Dynamics alongside his main sponsor Cataclean and will line up alongside returning champion Gordon Shedden in a new-look Dynamics line-up.
Despite a trip off track during the morning, Rowbottom ended the season launch test inside the top ten and he said he was now looking forward to the year ahead on track.
