Woman killed in hit-and-run crash near 39th and Grand avenues

PHOENIX â A woman died after she was hit by two vehicles, including one that fled the scene, late Sunday night in Phoenix.
Police say the wreck occurred around 10:30 p.m. near 39th and Grand avenues.
A woman, identified as 29-year-old Adriana Cuevas, was struck by a vehicle headed southeast on Grand Avenue, police say. After the initial collision, Cuevas was struck by a second vehicle.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the first vehicle reportedly left the area and has not been located. The second vehicle stayed at the scene and the driver is not suspected of impairment.

The male victim, identified as 21-year-old, Malik Recasner, was transported to a nearby hospital by fire personnel, where he later died.

A Valley man was shot and killed after refusing to hand over money in a robbery and home invasion late Thursday night, according to the Phoenix Police Department.
Officers responded to an apartment complex in the area of 4700 North 19th Avenue for a shooting, PPD said.
According to the department, a male suspect approached a male victim who was standing near his apartment and demanded money while holding the victim at gunpoint. The male victim refused and was walking back to his apartment when the suspect shot him.

PHOENIX â Phoenix police are looking for a suspect after a deadly shooting Thursday night near 19th Avenue and Camelback Road.
Officials said just after 10 p.m., officers were called to an apartment complex on 19th Avenue for reports of a shooting.
While on scene, officers learned that 21-year-old Malik Recasner was standing near his apartment when a man approached him and demanded money.
Police said the suspect pulled out a gun and held the victim at gunpoint. Recasner refused the command and started walking back to his apartment.

PHOENIX â Phoenix police say a man is dead after a Sunday evening shooting near 17th and Missouri avenues.
Officers were called to an apartment complex in the area around 6:40 p.m. for the shooting.
A man, who has not yet been identified publicly, was found with gunshot wounds at the scene. The man died from his injuries.
Witnesses say men approached the victim before shots were fired
Police have not located the suspects and are looking for more information. Anyone who may be able to help the investigation is asked to contact the Phoenix Police Department or Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.

The victim, a 65-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene near the intersection of 35th avenue and Palm Lane, police said.

PHOENIX The Phoenix Police Department is searching for the driver of a black SUV after a fatal hit and run late Saturday night.
Officers were called to the scene near 35th Avenue and Palm Lane around 11:45 p.m. Saturday night, the department said. They found the victim, a 65-year-old man, laying in the roadway with life threatening injuries.
Personnel from the Phoenix Fire Department arrived at the scene not long later and pronounced the man dead at the scene, police said.
