Breeze Airways, a new budget airline from the founder of JetBlue, will take off on May 27 with flights concentrated in the southeastern U.S.
The airline, whose launch was delayed by the coronavirus pandemic that devastated travel, initially plans to offer flights to and from four airports: Tampa, Florida; Charleston, South Carolina; New Orleans; and Norfolk, Virginia.
The first flights, beginning in late May in time for Memorial Day travel are Tampa-Charleston; Tampa-Louisville, Kentucky; Charleston-Hartford, Connecticut; Charleston-Tampa, and Charleston-Louisville.
Additional flights will be added in June and July, giving Breeze 39 nonstop routes between 16 cities as far east as Providence, Rhode Island, and as far west as San Antonio, Texas, this summer.
PROVO Allegiant Air announced Tuesday that it s adding two new destinations out of Provo Municipal Airport this fall, including a new option for fliers looking to travel out to the East Coast.
Airline officials announced that flights to St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport in Florida and Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport will begin on Oct. 7 and Oct. 8, respectively. Both flight routes will be operated biweekly once service begins in the fall.
One-way fares will start at $38 for the flight to Arizona and $99 to Clearwater, Florida for a short time, the airline announced. Those prices will be available for fliers who purchase tickets by Wednesday and the trip must be completed by Jan. 3, 2022.

While far from pre-pandemic levels, Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport is showing signs of recovery, with one of its routes being the most popular in the United States right now.
When looking at all direct routes in the United States, the route between Phoenix Sky Harbor and Denver International Airport has the fourth most scheduled seats. According to data from flight-tracking company OAG, there are 215,136 scheduled seats going between Phoenix and Denver during the month of May.
