KARACHI/LAHORE/RAWALPINDI/ISLAMABAD: Tehreek-i-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) Monday staged demonstrations in different parts of the country to protest the arrest of its chief Saad Hussain Rizvi choking the smooth flow of traffic and inconveniencing the public.
Saad was arrested Monday afternoon when several vehicles of Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) and Elite Police intercepted his car a few kilometers from where he had led the funeral prayers of a noted trader leader.
CTD officials took Saad and one of his associates into their custody and took them to an unknown place. As soon as the news of Saad’s arrest broke out, TLP workers chanting slogans and holding placards came out on the major arteries in Karachi, Hyderabad, Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan, Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Lalamusa, etc causing serious trouble to the commuters. ISLAMABAD: The state-of-art Khalid Al Kaabi Masjid built by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) will be inaugurated at the Fatimah Jinnah F-9 Park today (Monday).
The mosque will be inaugurated by the UAE ambassador in Pakistan Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Al Zaabi and federal minister Pir Noorul Haq Qadri.
The fully air-conditioned mosque will be a beautiful addition of mosques in Islamabad where Shah Faisal Mosque and grand Islamic university were built by Saudi Arabia in early 80s.
According to the UAE mission, the inaugural ceremony will be held today at 12:30pm followed by distribution of food packages among the needy by Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Humanitarian & Charity Establishment.

Islamabad : A mosque gifted by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) was jointly inaugurated by the Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Pir Noorul Haq Qadri, ambassador of Emirates Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Al-Zaabi and Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ali, vice-chancellor of Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU).
QAU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ali also lauded the generous effort of building the mosque ‘Shamsa Humaid Al Rumaithi’ for the students and employees of the Quaid-i-Azam University. He said this gesture will go a long way in serving the cause of strengthening the relations between two brotherly countries.
