FRANKFORT The Judicial Nominating Commission, led by Chief Justice of Kentucky John D. Minton Jr., announced nominees to fill the District Court vacancy in Greenup and Lewis counties. The counties make up the 20th Judicial District. The three nominees for the judgeship are attorneys Paul E. Craft, of Russell, Rhese D. McKenzie, of Flatwoods, and Matthew J. Warnock, of Ashland. Craft is a managing partner with the firm of McGinnis Leslie and serves as the city attorney for Worthington and South Shore. He received his juris doctor from the University of Cincinnati College of Law. McKenzie serves as a public advocate with the Kentucky Department of Public Advocacy. He received his juris doctor from the Ohio Northern University Pettit College of Law.

Alaska s COVID-19 vaccine pace has slowed as hospitalizations, cases rise in least-vaccinated regions

Print article Although only about 43% of eligible Alaskans are fully vaccinated against COVID-19, state data shows that the pace of vaccinations in Alaska has slowed significantly in recent weeks. The decline is part of a national trend: The seven-day average for vaccines administered in the U.S. fell by about 14% last week compared to the week before, according to data from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. But in Alaska and locally in Anchorage the decline was even more significant. According to data on the state’s vaccine dashboard, there was close to a 50% decrease in the average daily vaccines administered in the state between last week and the week before. Anchorage data also showed a similar drop in vaccinations over the same timeframe.

He was born in Parkersburg on November 23, 1937 the son of the late M. Earl and Bealuh Pettit LeMasters. Larry was a 1955 graduate of Parkersburg High School and attended West Virginia University. He retired from E.I. Dupont in 1992 with 36 years service in Maintenance. He was past President and vice President of Dupont employees Recreation Club. Larry was the Mountaineers biggest fan even returning from his honeymoon to be in Mountaineer Stadium for the next Saturday and Parkersburg High School Sports. Larry was an avid sports enthusiast and had coached his sons baseball and basketball teams, he played racquetball, golf and tennis rarely missing his sons participation.
