Another consignment of medical oxygen from Kuwait lands in Mangaluru May 25, 2021 Liquid medical oxygen being unloaded at New Mangalore port   -  PTI× Till date, five naval vessels have arrived at NMPT carrying medical oxygen New Mangalore Port Trust (NMPT) on Tuesday handled the Naval vessel INS Shardul carrying approximately 190 tonnes of liquid medical oxygen from Kuwait. The cargoes were loaded on the naval vessel at Shuwaikh Port and sailed out from Kuwait on May 15. Till date, five naval vessels have arrived at NMPT carrying medical oxygen and equipment under the Samudra Setu-II operation launched by the Indian Navy. Mansukh Mandaviya, Union Minister of State for Ports and Shipping, tweeted on Tuesday that New Mangalore Port handled INS Shardul carrying seven oxygen containers, two semi-trailers filled with 25 tonnes each of oxygen, and 60 pallets of oxygen cylinders, brought from Kuwait. NMPT ensured clearance of oxygen cargo on topmost priority.

These devices have been delivered by the Indian Community Support Group in Kuwait. The consignment was received by members of the Indian Red Cross Society, which was attended by Mangaluru Police Commissioner N Shashi Kumar, ADGP Pratap Reddy and Tattar Rakshak (Karnataka) Command S B Venkatesh. Meanwhile, corona relief flight took off from Delhi airport today amid the crisis of corona epidemic in the country. This was the 100th flight in 29 days, flying to India today with corona relief material. Delhi s airport is emerging as a hub for management and distribution of relief materials.

MRPL acquires 100% stake in ONGC Mangalore May 20, 2021 Acquires remaining 0.00027776% share in OMPL from ONGC ONGC Mangalore Petrochemicals Ltd (OMPL), a subsidiary of Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd (MRPL), has now become a wholly owned subsidiary of MRPL. This follows the acquisition of the remaining 0.00027776 per cent share in OMPL by MRPL from ONGC. MRPL informed the stock exchanges on Thursday that the board meeting of MRPL, on October 19, had approved the acquisition of 124,66,53,746 equity shares of ₹10 each of OMPL from ONGC. Accordingly, a share purchase agreement (SPA) was executed with ONGC for the acquisition. An amount of ₹1216,73,40,561 was paid towards consideration for acquisition of 124,66,53,746 equity shares at a price of ₹9.76 per share.
