ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The State of New Mexico and the City of Albuquerque have pledged economic assistance, contingent upon approval by the Albuquerque City Council, so that Affordable Solar can double the size of its Albuquerque fabrication facility and corporate headquarters.
Affordable Solar, established in New Mexico in 1998, offers large-scale solar and energy storage integration throughout the Western United States. The company has seen rapid growth with its technologies and plans to scale up business as state and national policies boost renewable energy and combat climate change. The project requires approval of the Albuquerque City Council.
“Albuquerque is becoming an important hub for the alternative energy industry and supporting Affordable Solar means we can help the climate and grow good manufacturing jobs right here in New Mexico, Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham said.

State Awards LEDA Grant To Bueno Foods For Expansion

ALBUQUERQUE – Economic Development Department Cabinet Secretary Alicia J. Keyes announced Tuesday that Bueno Foods has been awarded economic assistance to expand storage and manufacturing capacity and better distribute New Mexico chiles and food products throughout the United States.
The expansion for Bueno Foods will be on its property at 2001 4th St SW in Albuquerque and will include a new 25,000-square-foot freezer warehouse for its manufacturing campus. The $10 million project is expected to begin in early summer of 2021.

Aviation services company wants to hire more mechanics, technicians
An aviation services company has received additional state job training money for its Roswell operations to hire up to 20 more people in the next 12 months, as the company’s general manager says that CAVU continues to experience growth in its local customer base.
The funding decision was made by the New Mexico Job Training Incentive program board during its Friday meeting. Roswell-Chaves County Economic Development Corp. and its President Michael Espiritu supported the funding, with Espiritu saying that he is “encouraged by their new job growth.”
CAVU Aerospace is an aircraft maintenance, storage and dismantling operation certified by the Federal Aviation Administration. It has mobile teams and operates in facilities in Stuttgart, Arkansas; Victorville, California; Mesa, Arizona; and the Roswell Air Center.
