WILMINGTON Two young men were treated for gunshot wounds after a shooting on 6th Street Friday afternoon. Wilmington Police Department officers responded to a ShotSpotter notification near the 1100 block of 6th Street at around 4:10 p.m. As the officers were surveying the area, New Hanover Regional Medical Center staff called and informed WPD two gunshot wound victims had arrived at the hosptial. One victim, Dywaune Reshaune Jr., 19, was treated for non-life threatening injuries. Reshaune had an outstanding warrant for assault with a deadly weapon and was arrested after being released from the hospital. Reshaune’s charge occurred around this time last year, according to WPD, at 6th and Meares Street.
