The Wilmington Police Department Traffic Unit responded to a bicyclist and motor vehicle accident at the 1000 block of South College Road around 10:30 p.m.
According to a Wednesday police press release, when officers arrived on scene, they found Charles Bellamy, 57, in critical condition.

According to the release, witnesses reported Bellamy rode his bike across South College Road in an area that did not have a marked crosswalk or stoplights.
