MONTRÉAL, Jan. 25, 2021 /PRNewswire/ - Boralex Inc. (TSX: BLX) ( Boralex or the Corporation ) announces that a wholly owned subsidiary of the Corporation has completed a transaction with Delaware River Solar, LLC to acquire Sky High Solar Farm, located in New York State.
Sky High Solar Farm is a 20MWac project located in the Town of Tully, in the County of Onondaga. The project is ground-mounted and being developed on three separate parcels of land across 145 acres. The forecasted electric output is estimated at 35 gigawatt-hours annually, enough electricity to power 4,600 homes annually. Construction of the Sky High Solar Farm is expected to be completed by Q3 2022.

Governor Andrew M. Cuomo today announced the launch of a new large-scale renewable energy procurement program, known as Competitive Tier 2, which will retain New York s existing renewable energy resources, promote lower statewide carbon emissions, and help support the state s economic recovery by increasing in-state competition and reducing energy costs. Today s announcement demonstrates swift progress under the State s recently expanded Clean Energy Standard and advances Governor Cuomo s goal to obtain 70 percent of the state s electricity from renewable sources by 2030 as mandated in the Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act.
Indian Energy Exchange (IEX) gained 1.75% to Rs 244.70 after the company s consolidated net profit grew by 39.5% to Rs 58.14 crore on 42.8% rise in net sales to Rs 85.23 crore in Q3 December 2020 over Q3 December 2019.The company s consolidated profit before tax stood at Rs 75.74 crore in Q3 December 2020, 43.8% higher than Rs 52.66 crore in the same period last year. Total tax expense spiked by 60% to Rs 17.59 crore in Q3 December 2020 over Q3 December 2019.
Consolidated EBITDA stood at Rs 80.5 crore in quarter ended December 2020, rising 41.8% from Rs 63.2 crore in the corresponding period last year. The energy exchange said it delivered the most robust quarterly performance till date.
