Bahamas Level 4 Advisory is System Adjustment Not Destination Reassessment, says U.S. Embassy Statement
On Wednesday, April 21st, the U.S. Embassy Nassau released an update to the U.S. State Department Travel Advisory for The Bahamas. The statement read as follows:

State Department Travel Advisory for The Bahamas Updated to Level 4) The U.S. Travel Advisory for The Bahamas is now Level 4: Do Not Travel. We encourage travelers to read the entire Travel Advisory.
As travelers face ongoing risks due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the State Department has updated its Travel Advisories in general to better reflect the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) science-based Travel Health Notices. Following this update, approximately 80% of all countries worldwide will have a Travel Advisory Level 4: Do Not Travel. Demonstration Alert: Managua (Nicaragua), Expected Protests April 18 and 19
Location: Managua
Event: The Embassy has advised personnel of potential traffic disruption and strong police presence on April 18 and 19, particularly at traffic circles, Metrocentro, Galerias, Camino de Oriente malls, the parking lots of Edificio BAC and LAFISE Bank on Masaya Highway, the area surrounding UCA, the Holiday Inn Convention Center parking lot, and the second entrance to Las Colinas. There is likely to be a large police presence in the area surrounding Plaza Las Victorias. Demonstrations may occur in Managua or elsewhere in Nicaragua with little or no notice. Please monitor local media for updates and remember that violence may break out at any demonstration.
