The body of
a Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Ltd (PMPML) driver was found at Katraj Bypass Road. The driver has been identified as Gautam Machhindra
Salunkhe (in pic), a resident of Phursungi. He was working as a driver at PMPML Swargate depot for the past 2.5 years.
Cops said Salunkhe had gone to work on Saturday afternoon. He worked throughout the day on the Swargate to Dhayari route. Salunkhe did not reach home at his usual time, so his wife called him up at 1 am. He informed her that he will be reaching home in 10-15 minutes. After the conversation, Salunkhe’s wife went back to sleep.

Eateries and restaurants in Pune district of Maharashtra will remain shut for seven days starting April 3 in view of a substantial rise in coronavirus cases of late, a senior official said on Friday. A curfew will be in place across the district from 6 pm to 6 am, and malls, cinema halls and places of religious worship will also be shut during this seven-day period, he said.

Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], January 29 (ANI/PRNewswire): Electric mobility leader and pioneer in electric bus manufacturing, Olectra Greentech Limited (OGL) and Evey Trans Private Limited (EVEY) has received the letter of award from Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Ltd for 350 electric buses under FAME-II scheme of Government of India. This order is for the supply of 350 electric buses on Gross Cost Contract (GCC) / OPEX model basis for a period of 12 years.
Evey Trans will procure these 350 electric buses from Olectra Greentech, which shall be delivered over a period of seven months. The maintenance of these buses shall also be undertaken by the company during the contract period.
