A South Florida rapper was left critically injured after he was shot while leaving a recording studio in Sunrise early Tuesday, officials said.
Jamanic Goodwin, who raps under the name Main Rugar, was shot around 5:30 a.m. in the 6100 block of Northwest 11th Street.

1 detained for questioning after fatal shooting in North Lauderdale

The shooting was reported shortly after 10 p.m. Monday near the 8000 block of Southwest Seventh Court.
Broward Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Gerdy St. Louis said deputies arrived at the scene to find a male who had been shot multiple times.
North Lauderdale Fire Rescue personnel pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
Crime scene and homicide detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

Fort Lauderdale police responded to a ShotSpotter alert around 4:50 a.m. at 630 NW 10th Terrace.
Authorities said the victim, identified as Brett Shell, 34, of Pompano Beach, was walking through the parking lot to his car after leaving his friend’s home when someone began shooting at him.
Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue personnel pronounced Shell dead at the scene.
His father told Local 10 News that Shell was a loving father to three children.
