Science Hill man sentenced to five years for role in Brumley murder

Corky L. Hendricks A local man previously identified as a witness to the 2019 murder of LeeAnna Brumley has now been sentenced to five years for his role in the attempted coverup. Corky Lee Hendricks, 41, of Science Hill, pleaded guilty last month via Rocket Docket to one count of Tampering with Physical Evidence. The charge stems from the May 22, 2019, fatal shooting of Brumley. Brumley was 25 when she disappeared in May 2019. A break in the case came that fall after local law enforcement announced that Hendricks was wanted for questioning but it was ultimately 34-year-old Danelle Nicole Powell who was charged with Brumley s murder.

Man sentenced to three years after DUI arrest while on probation for alcohol-related wreck

Franklin D. Foley A local man is serving three years in prison after being arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated just two days after getting probation for his involvement in a wreck caused by alcohol. An order revoking probation for Franklin Dee Foley, 48, of Eubank, was filed June 7 in Pulaski Circuit Court following a hearing the previous week. Foley was arrested on May 8 on the charge of aggravated Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol (.08), which was later filed as a probation violation. Just two days before in Pulaski Circuit Court, Foley was sentenced to three years of supervised probation for first-degree Wanton Endangerment and Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol (.08) (1st offense).

Bronston man arrested on drug, gun charges

A southern Pulaski man was arrested this weekend on multiple drug- and gun-related charges. According to the Pulaski County Sheriff s Office, on Sunday, June 27, Deputy Trent Massey and other police officers went to a residence at 391 Flynn Road in Bronston to serve an active warrant on Jacob William Lemaire, 27, who resided at that address. When the officers arrived, Deputy Massey identified Lemaire sitting at a table with a handgun near him and digital scales, according to the sheriff s office. Lemaire was arrested on the warrant without incident. Following Lemaire s arrest, a search warrant was obtained and served on the residence. During the search, the following items were seized:

The two constables are reaching the end of their federal court trial, in which they face charges of Conspiracy Against Civil Rights and Possession with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine. U.S. prosecuting attorney Jason Parman explained that the drug charge was meant to reflect the constables had meth for the purpose of planting it on people in an attempt to arrest them on higher charges during traffic stops
