Deputy Arrested After Kicking Woman In The Face
SAN ANTONIO, TX – A Bexar County Sheriff Deputy has been arrested for assaulting a woman for the second time this year.
According to the sheriff s office, back in February, 30-year-old John Paul Garza was arrested while off-duty after he allegedly abused a woman.
The victim called the police after going to the hospital and said Garza may have been drinking when he physically abused her.
Garza s arrest prompted the department to place the patrol deputy on administrative leave.
On Monday, Garza once again attacked the woman.
According to Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar, Garza knocked the woman to the ground and kicked her in the face. The woman was covered in blood after the attack.

SAN ANTONIO Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar provided details regarding an off-duty deputy arrest that happened Sunday night.
The news conference took place Monday afternoon on Zoom.
Salazar has identified the deputy as 31-year-old John Paul Garza. He s been with BCSO since 2012. He is facing two charges of Continuous Family Violence and Violation of a Protective Order.
Salazar said Garza was involved in a domestic disturbance with his significant other. He described the assault as disturbing, describing how Garza knocked her to the ground and kicked her in the face.

A man is in police custody and accused of the murder and dismemberment of a woman in San Antonio. Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar says officers arrested 26-year-old Rafael Castillo in Brownsville. Work crews were cleaning an illegal dumping area last month when they found the partial remains of 31-year-old Nicole Perry wrapped in a tarp. Salazar says Castillo and Perry had an argument at a home on West Harlan that ended when he killed her with an ax or hatchet. Investigators haven t found all of Perry s body yet.
