Dartmouth Vaccination Site Slated to Close July 13
Updated 12:02 p.m. with information about upcoming New Bedford walk-in vaccination clinics.
DARTMOUTH The mass COVID-19 vaccination site at the former Circuit City in Dartmouth is slated to close on July 13, as the Baker-Polito Administration announced a shift in focus to Massachusetts hardest-hit communities.
With more than 3.8 million residents fully vaccinated, the administration said it is now focused on increasing targeted community-based vaccine efforts.
Gov. Charlie Baker s administration announced Tuesday that around $3.2 million in funding has been awarded to community-based organizations to increase access to the vaccine in the 20 hardest-hit municipalities, including New Bedford and Fall River.

In the first four installments of this series on the diary of William Logan Rodman of New Bedford, Mass., I covered events between the election of Abraham Lincoln and the early months of the Civil War. Rodman s diary ends in June 1862, before his war service, but later that year he was commissioned major and then lieutenant colonel of the 38th Massachusetts Infantry Regiment. He was killed at Port Hudson, La. on 27 May 1863.
In this final installment of the series, I d like to backtrack a little and look in detail at a few other fascinating subjects Rodman mentioned in his diary.
