GRAND TRAVERSE COUNTY, MI – Volunteers took more than 10,000 pounds of trash from the woods near Boardman River in Grand Traverse County over the weekend.
The coalition of volunteers on site on Saturday, April 17 included the Grand Traverse County Sheriff’s Department, Traverse Area Paddle Club, Youthwork, Grand Traverse Conservation District, Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Trout Unlimited, Brook Trout Coalition and Audubon of Traverse City.

This week at Trinity
Trinity Lutheran Church, 1420 S. Sixth St., Brainerd, has scheduled two worship services for this week.
On Wednesday, April 14, there will be a worship evening service at 6 p.m. with Pastor Paul Erdal preaching. Holy Communion will be served.
On Sunday, there will be a worship service at 9 a.m. with Pastor Paul Erdal preaching and Holy Communion will be served. This service is live on KVBR Radio 1350 and livestreamed on YouTube.
Sunday school will meet at 9:45 a.m. in Fellowship Hall.
Intern Matthew Engum will be hosting a book study on “The Great Divorce” by C.S. Lewis. The class will meet in the choir room at 10 a.m.
Buffalo Ridge Baptist Church, 197 Suncrest St., Gray: During our renovation project we will meet in the Family Life Center for all services. In-person Sunday worship services will be held at 8:30 a.m., 11 a.m., and 6:30 p.m. Sunday school will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday’s service will be held at 7 p.m. Nursery is available for Sunday’s 10 a.m., 11 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. services and Wednesday’s service.
