You Don’t Have To Sit Cross Legged To Do Yoga … In-Person Pranakriya Yoga Comes To Los Alamos

Do you think you can’t do yoga because you can’t sit cross legged? We have all seen the ancient yogis sitting cross legged and if you browse Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat or other social media platforms you see “star” yoga, but that’s not what yoga is really about.
Last week we discussed why we do yoga and the week before what yoga is. Remember, yoga is really about getting to know yourself and creating your healthiest self.

John Greif heard screams Saturday as he chatted with a neighbor shortly after Slater s Fourth of July Parade.
A 75-year-old woman had backed over multiple people, one fatally, while leaving Saturday s festivities, right in front of Greif s home for the last 45 years. He was one of many to immediately jump into action.
He had difficulty Sunday recalling details of what happened or even how he was feeling in the moment. It all happened so fast, Greif said. It shook me up pretty good. I m still a little shook up. It was just tragic.
Pieces of candy crushed from the heavy foot traffic of the day prior still littered the sidewalk Sunday on the corner of Main and Tama streets, where the accident took place. Four were dragged by the vehicle, according to the Iowa State Patrol, and Mary Nienow, 59, of Albert Lea, Minnesota, was killed.

Borderview Christian Church, 1338 Bristol Highway, Elizabethton: The church will celebrate God and Country Day on Sunday, July 4, at 10:45 a.m. with a special service full of patriotic music, focusing on the God that blesses the USA. The adult choir ministry will sing and veterans will be recognized with a special gift. Scott Fisher, senior minister, will be preaching on the âGod and Countryâ theme. There is no community block party planned this year, but plans are already gearing up for 2022.
