Sine Esther Boe passed away peacefully at Trillium Lodge in Parksville, B.C. with her life partner, Rick, at her side, comforting her until the cancer she fought for so long finally won.
Sine was born April 3, 1970 to Brian and Ernastine Boe. She was raised on the farm in Dalum. In 1984 Sine became the step-daughter to Gaye Boe.
She received her schooling from K-12 in Drumheller then attended Mount Royal College in Calgary for 2 years. She stayed in Calgary where she worked as a nanny for 3 years before returning to Drumheller. She worked at odd jobs for a bit, then found her true calling when she took a job with D.A.R.T.S. She was a blessing to her clients at D.A.R.T.S. and treated all with love and respect. She loved her work and helped many people before retiring from that job after 17 years.
Kevin Glawe
Kevin “Smilie” Gene Glawe was born on March 1, 1952, in Detroit Lakes, MN. He passed away on April 23, 2021, from a rare high-grade lymphoma (blood cancer). Hospice of the Red River Valley at the Perham Living Transitions unit provided excellent care and support during his final days.
Kevin was the son of Dale William Glawe and Vernice Mae (Dullum) Glawe. He was baptized on April 13, 1952, and confirmed on April 3, 1966, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Vergas, MN. Smilie grew up on a small family farm outside of Vergas. He attended country school in District #166 in Hobart Township from first through fifth grades, where he met three of his lifelong friends: Duane Antonsen, JoAnn Bruhn, and Diane (Schultz) Menz. He graduated from Perham High School in 1970. He was the wrestling manager in 1967 then wrestled in the 165-weight class his senior year and played football and baseball in school.

Lord of Life begins Masks for Mission Jamaica campaign
An anonymous donor is challenging members of the Lord of Life congregation and others to help spread its online presence, while also helping out those in need.
For every like or share on Lord of Life’s Facebook and Youtube worship livestream posts, a Personal Protective Equipment mask will be donated to Westhaven Children’s Home in Copse, Jamaica, and Clifton Boys Home in Darlington, Jamaica.
Westhaven provides care for children with special needs ranging from moderate to severe cases, while the Clifton Boys Home educates, provides Christian values and prepares boys age 8-18 for adulthood.
Remembering the Life of Bonnie Syverson
Bonita Faye Syverson (“Bonnie”/“Mom”/ “Bonnie-and-Dean”) went to the Lord on April 14, 2021 under the dedicated care of Hospice of the Red River Valley and Viking Manor Nursing Home in Ulen, MN. Bonnie was born on her family’s farm NE of Ulen, MN, the daughter of Olaf and Cora (Tollefsrud) Syverson on December 22, 1932.
She graduated from Ulen High School in 1950 with Dean Syverson (of the nearby “Round Barn Syversons”) who sat behind her and also was in the band with her. Having begun her studies at 17, she graduated St. Luke’s School of Nursing and became an RN at 20 having to wait until 21 to be licensed. Meantime, Dean attended agricultural classes nearby at NDAC (now NDSU), made a well-worn path to Bonnie’s school, attended her graduation ceremony and eventually proposed to her with a diamond engagement ring over a weekday lunch.
