SILVER THREADS: Of frozen lives, frozen meals and frozen trails

Article content It’s so cold here today as I write this that even the dog is curled up on her cuddly bed snoring away the morning. We are hearing some good and loud sounds coming from the school yard this week as students are back at their desks with their teachers. It really puts a big, old smile on our faces to see the multicoloured snow suits running and jumping in the school yard. With the screams and sounds of happy children playing with their classmates during breaks, it almost seems like things may get back to normal for us adults too. I know I can hardly wait for that time to finally arrive, so we can all get on with our lives of travel, meeting with friends and going for lunch and returning to our places of worship.
