Pious Muslim Women International Organisation, a faith-based non-governmental organisation registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission in Nigeria has since inception striven to add value to the Nigerian society. The organisation has core mandates of Da’wah, widow empowerment and orphan care through the sponsorship of the education of orphans and an orphanage for children with no family to care for them.
Also, during the holy month of Ramadan, Pious Muslim Women International Organisation focuses on extending assistance to the less privileged through the distribution of food items and cash. Many individuals and homes benefit from this programme organised and run by members of the organisation who fund the project primarily from personal means.
The AGM would be by proxy, in line with the coronavirus safety protocols.
Announcing the AGM in a notice to its shareholders signed by the Company’s Secretary, Stanbic IBTC Holdings, Chidi Okezie, stated that it would transact ordinary and special businesses in line with regulatory requirements.
Some of the considerations at the AGM would include receipt and consideration of the audited financial statements for the 2020 financial year, dividend declaration and re-election of retiring directors, among other businesses.
“In order to ensure the safe conduct of the company’s 9th Annual General Meeting in accordance with the guidelines issued by the Corporate Affairs Commission as well as the Federal Government of Nigeria, shareholders are hereby informed that attendance at this AGM, shall only be by proxy and shall be limited to a maximum of 20 people,” Okezie said.

In furtherance of the
Buhari administration’s support for small businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic under its Economic Sustainability Plan (ESP), payment would be made to the next batch of beneficiaries of the ESP Survival Fund’s Payroll support track and the one-off General MSME Grant of N50,000 as from this week.
This is expected to increase the number of beneficiaries under the Payroll Support track, which has so far benefitted a total of 319,755 Nigerians, while 265,425 Nigerians are beneficiaries under the Artisan and Transport Support track.
