Trinity, N.C. It s finally Millbrook s year.
The Wildcats, after heartbreaking losses in postseason runs scattered throughout the last decade, are boys basketball champions at long last.
Millbrook claimed the NCHSAA 4A boys basketball state championship with a 67-65 win over Ardrey Kell in overtime on a game-winning strip and layup by Silas Demary Jr. with four seconds remaining
This year s Wildcats (19-0), the first 4A state champions to go undefeated since Olympic in 2013, survived back-to-back overtime games to make it to this year s final, so it was only fitting they played a third for the title.

LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - The LaGrange Lady Gators were in search of back-to-back championships as they would take on Huntington Lady Raiders in the state finals.
LaGrange lead Huntington by six points going into the half. The Lady Raiders managed keep the contest close despite never holding a lead.
The Lady Gators were lead by the Class 4A Most Outstanding Player and Florida signee Jeriah Warren who recored a double-double with 19 points and 14 boards and ULM signee Aasia Sam who scored 13 points on the night.
