Christian Tawadros, a student at Thomas Jefferson Middle School in Fair Lawn, was trying to cross U.S. 208 with his brother and other children when he was struck by an SUV driven by Officer Michael Sansevere, officials have said.
The boy died at the scene of the crash, which occurred about 9 p.m. on April 14, 2019 in the southbound lanes, according to the suit, filed last month in Superior Court of Bergen County.
More than 50 victims of human trafficking ring busted in N.J. get counseling, shelter

In the wake of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office taking down an international human trafficking ring that forced victims into sexual slavery, many of the more than 50 victims are now being provided with shelter and counseling as they wrestle with severe trauma.
On Thursday, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced charges against 22 people allegedly involved in running a human trafficking ring that lured young Mexican women into the country before forcing them into prostitution. The four-month long sting, dubbed “Operation Hope In Darkness,” nabbed 21 people, with one of the ring-leaders still on the run in Colombia.
