BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) - Investigators have arrested an 18-year-old man accused of shooting his mother multiple times following an argument at a Moncks Corner home.
The Berkeley County Sheriffâs Office arrested Dairon Taimayne Brown on charges of attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
His arrest stems from an investigation on Sunday when a deputy responded to a home on Mount Pleasant Drive for a woman who said she had been shot at a camper. When the deputy arrived he found a woman sitting on a couch with apparent wounds to her chest and head.

BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) - The Berkeley County Sheriffâs Office is investigating a reported shooting near Moncks Corner late Sunday night, according to Berkeley County dispatchers.
Deputies responded to the area of Power House Road near Moncks Corner where the incident was reported, dispatchers said, adding they were searching for a possible gunman.

BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) - The Berkeley County Sheriffâs Office says they have detained three juveniles after a pursuit ended in a crash at the Santee Cooper gate.
The driver will be charged with failure to stop for blue lights, malicious injury under $2,000, unlawful possession of a pistol, unlawful carry of a pistol, and possession of marijuana.
Deputies say they were patrolling the area of North Live Oak when they saw a silver Hyundai traveling south almost strike a curb and overcorrect. At this point deputies say they turned on their lights to commence a traffic stop, but the car increased speed for a five mile chase.

BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) - The Berkeley County Sheriffâs Office says their Narcotics Taskforce has arrested 14 people after six-month investigation.
The BCSO says the investigation began after deputies received multiple complaints about suspicious activity in the area of DeWitt Road, in the Macedonia area of Berkeley County.
During the course of the investigation, deputies and detectives say they were able to seize approximately 265 grams of Methamphetamine, 30 grams of Fentanyl, 15 grams of Heroin, multiple handguns that were illegally sold to convicted felons and stolen property valued more than $4,000.

GOOSE CREEK, S.C. (WCSC) - The Berkeley County Sheriffâs Office says a man has been arrested for sexually assaulting a Goose Creek woman in August.
Jail records show Vantrez Diego Grant, 41, has been arrested Monday for first degree criminal sexual conduct and conspiracy to commit kidnapping.
Deputies say they Grant has been arrested for an incident that happened on Aug. 30. They say that was when they were first dispatched to Goose Creek in reference to a potential kidnapping.
